Personal Mission: I want to harness the amazing power of people to the change the world. We have already proved we can change the nitrogen & carbon cycles, cause massive species extinctions, and transform the global sediment budget! We now need to prove we can find ways to harness our collective muscle and work with the grain of nature – not against it. We now know the solutions are not easy but are found in collaboration, listening, empathy, action and reflection. As we transform a world based on exploitation to a world based on stewardship, we will realize the fruits of our labor.

Inspiration: I am inspired by this time that we live in – it is very much like the world of Copernicus, realizing that the earth orbits the sun and we are not at the center. Our fundamental view of growth at all cost as the ultimate economic paradigm is changing as well. We are entering a time that will mark another great conflict, and inspiration is all around us, from small actions to bold and brave response to status quo.
